A Balanced Gathering
The
display of Insight Projects, a design studio, gave me the idea to organize a
lunch to connect the neighborhood Quartier Canal. Seven people working within five different organizations took a seat. The School, Sardien, Bouts, Luxauto and a2o
architecten.
The table was hanging on one cord, with the result that everyone had to work together from the start to keep the table in balance. This playful start immediately created an informal atmosphere. In the end, the organizers of Sardien, for example, were able to borrow a van from Luxauto for their event. This neighborly help is worth a tremendous amount. How can we spread this goodness that is in each of us to all of our environment? Can a moment of coming together over lunch contribute to this?
Visitors were welcome to have a look at the teamwork that was going on while eating some soup. It was fun to see how visitors experienced people having lunch as some sort of a performance.
